River engulfed me brought me down
through bubbles sodden with water drenched
holding stench and weeded failings
drowned my thoughts until
they sheltered me in troubles
wrenched from long past
seeded small those memories grew
the reminiscent thoughts of you
which crowded current waves
of new and splashed their lashings
round my eyes then nothing
new could then surprise
the frown that wrinkled on my brow
like fingers long in washing tub
those staying longer than a rub
and dehydrate at last
the turbulence of past.

I like this one. I think I prefer your longer freer poems to the more visually patterned ones. I love the graphics you've put on your site now.
Thanks Carole
My blog never really got going before...but now that I have updated it a bit and figured out how to change things etc I feel more comfortable with it - and I've put 13 poems (or experiments) on in the last couple of days!
Yes, you have been very busy! I'm recovering from submitting my assignment. I have had my portfolio back from Lancaster. My tutor has recommended continuing with prose poems and to read surrealist poets. She thinks I have the same sort of playfulness as them. I will post the poem that lead to that on my blog.
